Lofotens Discovery

Following breakfast meet your guide-driver who take you on a sightseeing tour of the beautiful surrounding area.

Discover the southern side of the Lofoten Islands. After getting picked up from your hotel in Svolvær, head to the Atlantic side of the islands, where nature is in its purest and most untamed state.

Visit the area of Flakstad and see its colorful rocks, seaside, and colorful farms. At Ramberg, discover a different side to the island, where surfers flock each year for the best waves.

During your tour, you will discover an area full of history, folklore, and traditions. Visit historical small fishing hamlets full of colors and surrounded by an enchanting landscape that makes these islands a paradise for photographers. Explore towns such as Reine, Nusfjord, Hamnøy with their traditional fishermen’s houses, wooden racks, fishing boats, and historical buildings.

Today you reach Å at the end of the Lofoten road. There is much more to Å than just the enigmatically short name. This village at the end of the road in Lofoten can tell you a lot about Lofoten and the coast in general, and it helps that it is stunningly beautiful. Å is a far as you can drive in Lofoten, and what a finale it is! Steep mountains, the wild Atlantic and the picturesque old houses make an ensemble that could be nowhere else.

Walrus Safari &  Bird Laguna Under the Midnight
Sun

In the morning experience the walrus on boat trip to Borebukta, where the fascinating sea mammals often are observed on the ice in front of the glacier, in water and on land. Mighty glacier fronts and a distinctive fjord and mountain landscape also await. Lunch is included.

As the busy daytime fades away, the peace and tranquility return to the bird lagoon, where many different species of birds are nesting. You can find the Arctic tern here, known for having the longest migration among birds in the world, along with many other bird species.Your guide will pick you up from your accommodation and drive you toward the coastline of Isfjord. Once there, you will park and either take a seat in the wooden shelter to observe the wildlife, or take a short walk along the lagoon to find the best spot for wildlife observation.

You will have plenty of time to enjoy the evening under the midnight sun.

All the birds, ducks, and geese on Svalbard migrate at the end of summer, except for one bird—the Svalbard Rock Ptarmigan. Perhaps you'll be lucky enough to spot this special bird during your evening.

Your guide will keep a close watch on the fjord. Occasionally, Belugas or a Walrus may pass by to say hello.

The Arctic fox is also often seen at the lagoon, as it is a large food source for the fox.

Relax and enjoy this easy evening in the Arctic as you sip warm drinks and enjoy some sweets.

Glaicer Safari

After breakfast get ready for an exciting experience - explore the wonders of a wild, untouched and unruly archipelago north of mainland Norway. The landscape in this unique place, where nature dominates and the seasons dictate, is covered by active glaciers and towering mountains.

Unlike the glaciers on the mainland, the glaciers in Svalbard can recede slowly for many years before suddenly gaining rapid speed and advancing many kilometers within a few years. This spectacular process is known as surging and creates ice formations within the glacier that often calve into the sea.

Feel the sea breeze in your hair and experience the forces of nature as you travel on an exciting safari in a RIB boat. Lunch is included.

*Please note: the tour is available from mid-June until the end of September.
